Redesign of the Exchange Rate section
Context
T-Bank app is a mobile banking and investing app that lets users manage cards and accounts, make payments and transfers, exchange currencies, track spending, and access savings and investment products in one place.
Task
The exchange rates section is outdated, cluttered with irrelevant information, and receives negative feedback. It needs a redesign to reflect the current economic context, allow users to expand, collapse, and reorder items, and update the component visuals.
Business goals
- Increase profit from executing currency exchanges.
- Upsell the PRO subscription (by highlighting that exchange rates are better with it).

- Users can’t perform quickly currency actions in one section.
- It’s difficult to compare currencies and understand what’s happening in the market.

- When I’m choosing between currencies, I want to compare them clearly (rate, change, trend), so I can understand the market and make a confident decision.
- When I decide to exchange/buy/sell, I want to complete the action right there in the rates section, so I can do it fast without losing context.
- When I’m looking for precious metals, I want to find them in the same section as currencies (or via an obvious switch/filter), so I can track and act on metals just as easily.

- A clear entry point to the section has been added, making it easier for users to discover and access it.
- The subscription is now highlighted on the home screen to improve visibility and drive higher purchase conversion.

- Added a comparison-friendly view (rate + change + trend) to help users understand market movement and choose currencies with more confidence.
- Added rate alerts so users can postpone a transaction when the rate is unfavorable and return via push notification once the target rate is reached.
- Enabled a faster exchange experience with in-section actions, an account selector, and a built-in calculator for quick amount checks.

- Precious metals are now accessible in the same section via a dedicated switcher, with a clear overview of all metals and prices.
Results
- Improved discoverability and navigation. Metrics: Activation Rate, Time to Value.
